With unwavering faith, LaTocha’s gifted voice is deep-rooted in Christianity. Mt. Olive Church of God in Holiness is the place where she learned the importance of putting her faith into action as, “faith without work is dead”. From pulpits to platforms, LaTocha is no stranger to infusing her love of music and her faith. Reigning from the city of College Park, Georgia. LaTocha became a household name back in the 90’s, as a member of the award-winning group, Xscape.

While with Xscape, LaTocha became best known as a prolific songstress. She is best known for her lead vocals on songs, “Who Can I Run To”, “Softest Place”, Love On My Mind” and “The Arms of the One Who Loves You”. Exploding onto the music scene, Xscape emerged as one of the most prolific female R&B groups of all time. Since 1992, their music has secured 6 top 10 singles, 3 consecutive platinum albums, and selling over ten million albums worldwide. Understanding the importance of evolving, LaTocha enhanced her brand by lending her talents as a songwriter, supporting actress, entrepreneur, and embarking on a solo career. In 1998, LaTocha appeared on NFL Jamz in 1998 performing her song, “Promises”. She later released a few more songs, “Bad Timing” and “Liar Liar “, which appeared on The Best Man soundtrack. Even though, LaTocha had everything one could dream of, she understood her assignment was not yet fulfilled, thus she had to reconnect to her source in God and find happiness.

In 2018 LaTocha gave birth to her company, “Made Girl”, which promotes health, wellness, and the importance of living a balanced life. With “You Were Made To Win!” as the motto, LaTocha has developed two products to assist women and men with their journey. In 2020, she released her first cookbook “LaTocha’s Planted Lifestyle,” which is collection of homemade recipes for classic dishes, including mac ‘n’ cheese, spinach dip, lasagna, and more. In addition, she has a premium line of High-Performance Athleisure-wear to make All Women feel empowered and ready to WIN, in any situation. As her businesses were producing record sales, LaTocha, having a heart of philanthropy, created the Made Girl Foundation. This foundation serves to build prolificity in women through teaching arts and music (TAM). The Made Girl Foundation ‘s Mission is to encourage young girls and women to tap into their confidence, fearlessness, and determination in order to become who they destined to be.

Just recently, LaTocha inked a deal with her label, “Made Girl Music” in partnership with “Motown/Capitol” to record her first gospel album.
